Stop Losing Leads with Gravity Forms and GravityKit

Gravity Forms on its own is the best form plugin for WordPress. Gravity Forms paired with the GravityKit suite is something different — a small business operations system masquerading as a forms plugin. Most Devon business owners we work with have no idea their website could already do half the things they currently pay separate apps for.

This piece walks through four practical jobs the combination handles for our clients in Newton Abbot, Exeter and across Teignbridge, and what it would cost you to build separately.

What GravityKit actually is

GravityKit is the umbrella brand for a suite of professional add-ons built on top of Gravity Forms. The four pieces we use most:

  • GravityView — display form submissions on the front-end of your site as searchable, filterable directories
  • Gravity PDF — generate branded PDFs from form submissions
  • GravityFlow — multi-step approval workflows with notifications
  • Gravity Math and Gravity Charts — calculations and reporting on submitted data

All four are included as standard on every site we build and host.

Job 1: turn submissions into a live searchable directory

The setup: an estate agent wants property listings, a community group wants a member directory, an events organisation wants a calendar. The conventional answer is a custom-built directory plugin or a separate platform.

The GravityKit answer: build a Gravity Form for the data ("Submit a property", "Add an event", "Register your business"). When the form is submitted, GravityView automatically displays the entry on the front-end in a designed layout — list, grid, table or map. Filters and search work out of the box. New submissions appear immediately. There is no manual copy-and-paste between back-end and front-end.

We have used this for a Devon business directory, a Teignbridge community events page, and a small property portal. The same pattern, three completely different purposes.

Job 2: automate quotes, invoices, contracts and certificates

The setup: a tradesperson wants to send branded PDF quotes. A trainer wants to issue PDF certificates after a course. A consultant wants client-signed engagement letters.

The GravityKit answer: design the form, set up Gravity PDF with a branded template once, and the system generates the PDF automatically on submission. Email the PDF to the customer, copy yourself, attach it to the entry record, and store it on the server. We build these for clients as half-day jobs.

For a service business issuing 5–10 quotes a week, this saves several hours a month and makes the paperwork look more professional than the competition's manual Word documents.

Job 3: manage testimonials and social proof

The setup: a happy customer emails a glowing review. The business owner means to add it to the site, never gets round to it, the review sits in a forgotten folder.

The GravityKit answer: a "Share your feedback" form on the site. Submissions are held for moderation. With one click the business owner approves a review and GravityView pushes it onto a rotating testimonial section on the homepage. Devon businesses we run this on typically build 30–50 displayed reviews in the first year, all with photos and verifiable submission timestamps.

Job 4: replace a clunky internal workflow

The setup: a Teignbridge agency takes job applications. The form data needs to go to HR, then to the relevant manager for shortlisting, then to a panel for scoring. Currently this happens via email forwarding and a shared spreadsheet that nobody trusts.

The GravityKit answer: GravityFlow takes the submission, routes it to HR for first review, then automatically forwards approved candidates to the relevant manager, then to a scoring panel, with notifications and timeouts at every stage. The whole process is logged and auditable.

What this would cost separately

A standalone directory plugin (£100/year), a PDF generator (£100/year), a testimonial display widget (£60/year), a workflow tool (£200+/year). Roughly £450/year minimum, plus the integration time to make them talk to each other.

Bundled into the £250 starter build and £300/month retainer, GravityKit is included. Send your URL to 07887 988780 and we will tell you which of the four jobs above would pay you back first.
