Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions govern the provision of website design, development, hosting, and related services by Shout Websites Ltd (Company Number 08747403), trading as Shout Websites, based in Newton Abbot, Devon.

Services

We provide website design and development, website hosting and management, domain registration, search engine optimisation, digital marketing, and related services as agreed with each client. The specific scope of work for each project is set out in our proposal or quotation before work begins.

Quotations and Payment

Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. A deposit may be required before work begins on larger projects, with the balance due on completion. Hosting and ongoing services are billed monthly or annually as agreed. Payment is due within 14 days of invoice unless otherwise arranged. We reserve the right to suspend services for overdue accounts.

Website Design and Development

We will design and build your website in accordance with the agreed specification. We include a reasonable number of revisions during the design process. Significant changes to the agreed scope may incur additional charges, which will be discussed and agreed with you before any additional work is carried out.

Content and Materials

You are responsible for providing content, images, logos, and other materials needed for your website in a timely manner. You confirm that you have the right to use all materials you provide to us. We are not liable for any intellectual property infringement arising from materials supplied by you.

Hosting

Our hosting service includes server space, daily backups, security monitoring, SSL certificates, and technical support. While we take every reasonable precaution to protect your website and data, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We recommend maintaining your own copies of important content. Hosting can be cancelled with 30 days written notice.

Intellectual Property

Upon full payment, you own the content and design of your website. We retain ownership of any custom code, plugins, or tools developed by us that are used across multiple client projects. You grant us permission to display your website in our portfolio unless you request otherwise.

Liability

We will carry out all work with reasonable skill and care. Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you have paid us for the specific service in question. We are not liable for loss of business, revenue, or data beyond this amount.

Termination

Either party may terminate a project or ongoing service with 30 days written notice. If you terminate a project before completion, you are liable for payment for work already carried out. Upon termination of hosting, we will provide reasonable assistance to transfer your website to another provider.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
