When a redesign is the right call

It is hard to update. If every change requires a developer or you are scared to touch the editor, the site is working against you. A modern Divi 5 build with a one-hour training session lets you update content yourself.
Mobile experience is poor. Pinch-to-zoom, broken layouts, tiny tap targets, navigation that does not collapse properly. Mobile is 60–70% of your traffic. If it is broken there, it is broken full stop.
Conversions have dropped or never started. If your form fills, calls and bookings are falling year on year despite similar traffic, something on the site has aged badly.
Your brand has moved on. If the colours, logo, photography or tone no longer reflect what you do, the site signals to customers that you are out of date.
The platform is unsupported. Old WordPress versions, abandoned themes, retired page builders, hosting that has stopped being maintained. Each of these is a security and reliability liability.
What a redesign with us actually involves
Our redesign process for South Devon clients follows a documented sequence:
Discovery and audit. We run technical, SEO and conversion audits on the existing site. We document what is working (so we keep it), what is broken, and what is missing. We talk to you about what your business needs to do online.
Information architecture. We map the new site's structure — pages, navigation, content blocks, conversion paths. This is the part most clients have never been walked through and is usually where the biggest improvements come from.
Design. We design the new site in Divi 5 directly rather than building static mockups in Figma. You see real, interactive layouts at every stage. Revisions happen in the live builder.
Build, content migration, technical SEO. We rebuild on WordPress with Divi 5, migrate the content that should carry over, set up redirects from old URLs to new ones (so you do not lose Google rankings), implement schema markup, and configure Core Web Vitals optimisation.
Pre-launch testing. Cross-browser, cross-device, accessibility, forms, payments, integrations. Documented checklist.
Launch and aftercare. We push the new site live, monitor for issues for the first 14 days, and run a post-launch SEO check at 30 and 90 days.
What it costs
Starter redesigns begin at £250 for a small site (sole trader, salon, holiday let, simple service business). Larger projects with shop functionality, member areas, multilingual content or extensive content migration are scoped and quoted against the actual work — we do not pretend to have fixed-price tiers for projects that are genuinely variable.
After launch most clients move to the £300/month retainer covering hosting, security, plugin updates, performance monitoring, monthly SEO and content tweaks. There is no twelve-month contract — month-to-month, cancel any time.
